  • FloLight 2-55 watt (x2) for green screen

    I am considering the ‘FloLight’ 2 – 55 watt model (x2) for a 10′(w) x 9′(h) green screen in my studio (https://www.flolight.com/fl-110hm.html).

    1) Has anyone worked with FloLight brand models before? I’m also considering ‘Cool Lights’…any preference on one brand being better than the other? (https://tinyurl.com/4kfwv8a)

    2) Will two 2 x 55 watt Flo light models adequately light a 10×9 green screen (I’m getting mixed feedback on this)?

    Thanks so much!

I own both Flolight and Coolights products. Coolights are a bit higher quality and the customer service is way higher in quality!

We’ve got 4 of the CoolLights fixtures that are comparable to the 55 watt Kinos. I’m quite sure you can get 4 for the price of 2 Kinos, and you’ll need them all to effectively light up a screen of that size. I’ve successfully lit an 8×10 green screen with 2 55×4 Kinos, but I would have rather had more lights so I had more control spreading it out.
