compositing a mouth into a face
hey there everyone,
I have a job coming up where I have to composite live action footage of a mouth into a still of a face.
I kinda have an idea as to how I’m going to tackle it though thought if anyone had some other good suggestions or tutorials, it may come in handy. You can always teach an old dog new tricks!
Any help would be great and appreciated. Thanx.

Well, at the most basic level, I would bring the footage and the still into a comp, then use a mask to isolate the mouth in the footage. Place it on the still and use some feathering and colour correction until you get a look you like.
Or is this supposed to look realistic? 😉
It’s only work if you’d rather be doing something else…

Yeah I guess I would approach it in much the same way. Photo realistic is the plan though it still is supposed to look comical. I would also like to get some movement in the cheeks and the rest of the face. Thought if someone had come across a tute they could forward it through.
