  Replacing Kino Image 40

  I am looking for a Kino light to replace an Image 40 that we no longer have. The main use is for a key light for a standing subject in front of a blue screen, though we have used it as a fill light on a set hung from a grid. One of the requirements is that it must be able to accept 3200k bulbs and 5600k bulbs. My first thought was to just replace it with the same light. Does anyone have any ideas of other lights that might work out or work better?

  If you are going to use the light only in a studio, then probably your best bet is replace it with a new Image 45 (Kino Flo no longer makes model 40.) If you will be taking this unit on location, a lighter unit would be the Kino Flo 4×4. You could also try cheaper alternatives such as those from Cool Light (https://www.coollights.biz/cl455p-cool-lights-portable-watt-softlight-p-67.html), FloLight (https://www.prompterpeople.com/flolight.php) Lowel Caselight4 (https://www.lowel.com/caselite/), or Kino Flo’s Diva-Lite 400 (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/258601-REG/Kino_Flo_DIV_400_120_Diva_Lite_400_Fluorescent_Light.html). Most of these cheaper replacements, if not all, will probably need at least 1/4 minus green to counter a green spike.
