  Spielberg soft-light look

  How does Spielberg acheive the soft-glowing light look in the majority of his films?

  Are there any tricks I could use in After Effects to get similar results?

  Diffusion in post, and/or fog filter on camera.

  It’s Janusz Kaminski who does most of the DP-ing for Spielberg.

  Wow, that article is so worth reading… give it a look if you haven’t already.

  Makes me feel like a slacker when we drag out a few HMIs and consider that a “big” shoot.
