Since I can’t seem to find someone who rents the Diva 400 around here, I was wondering if you guys could tell me how they compare in brightness to the 4×4 Foto flo.
My guess is that it won’t come close, but I couldn’t find specs anywhere online. These would mostly be used as daylight interior fixtures, and I like the dimming and size factor.

    Thanks,

    Vince

    Vince,

In broad stoke, the Diva is twice as bright as a conventional Kino Flo (2’Fourbank) so a 4’Fourbank would be about the same output as a 400 Diva. Of course the unit is twice as big, which is something of an inconvenience to transport, but the increases source size does offer an advantage.

    Thanks John,

That’s good news. I’m not too worried about close coverage, that’s why I own the 4×4’s.

    Thanks again,

    Vince

    Hi:

4×4 will provide a softer light source because the surface area of the tubes is larger.

The 55 watt biax tubes used in the Divas are pretty small in diameter.
