    mundane low-tech question:

Using a Source 4 Jr. Zoom, I have trouble keeping the patterns in the pattern holder. They tend to slip a bit. Is there a trick somebody can offer?

Using somebody else’s similar ellipsoidal (can’t recall the brand name) I actually lost a pattern inside the fixture. Result: delay in shoot, burnt-up pattern.

I’ve been pinching the holder with a pair of pliers but would love a better solution.

I’ve crimped on a thickness of blackwrap foil to the edges of the gobo. Basically fold over a strip just longer than the pattern, and fold over the excess on the ends to create a cap – crimp that down with pliers.

    Cheers,
