Nothing automated that I know of – where is the XML and TEXT files coming from? If it’s a sequence XML then there’s a chance that Resolve might be able to do something with it.

    Hi Michael,

The XML is from Sony PMW-F55 and the .txt is from Phantom Cine Flex4K .cine files.

The Sony XML should be part of the AMA plug-in to ready and support unless it is another file I am not familiar with this particular file. The same with the .cine file.

    Hi Vipin,
Sorry, a bit late at the party…
As Michael stated, the XML from the Sony contains nothing interesting that won’t be imported anyways (AFAIK).
For the .txt from the .cine files, what’s in there?
I’m currently working on an application that works on .ALE files, and can do a few tricks.
It’s possible to merge the contents from a .text file as well, but I have never seen the files you describe.
Can you mail me an example?

Can you copy/paste the contents of the .txt file here?

And what info would you like into the ALE?
(I don’t see any interesting stuff, and I ‘think’ most ‘should’ be there on import anyways…)

Some of these will be part of AMA link, but for those that aren’t:

Cine File: SHOT_1.cine (AMA link as Name and Source FIle)
File Size: 4357349484 bytes (add as File Size)
    Packed? YES (add as Packed?)
    SMPTE TC: 07:02:59.17 (AMA link)
Frame Count: 394 (add to Frame Count – assuming 0 start?)
    Capture FPS: 500 (AMA link)
    Resolution: 4096 x 2160 (AMA link)
Camera Serial 17513 (add as Camera Serial)
Camera Model Flex4K (add as Camera Model)
Camera Firmware 167360251 (add as Camera Firmware)
    UUID: 00000000-4469-4000-b86d-4874000f06b3 (add as UUID)
Shutter Angle: 180 degrees (add as Shutter Angle)

Unknown is if there is additional info if shot high speed for slomo and has an assumed playback rate in the file or not. There doesn’t seem to be. As you know, without the base frame rate declared, you’re gonna have to guess which rate is declared in the ALE or prompt the user for header and durations.

    Eeh, Michael,
    Was that aimed at me?
(If so, I have no clue, but I do know I can parse this file and place any info in an ALE.)

Sort of aimed at you if you were planning on adding it to an ALE. There will be some calculations needed to calculate END in the file which is based on project fps (not recorded fps) as seen on the first event) in order to properly merge. My guess is that the AMA plug-in should be grabbing all this. If not, I would go back to the AMA developer and make the request there.
