  Avid 8.9 Frame Flex disabled on multigroups?

  I had used frame flex before to resize my 4k grouped clips in a 1080 project at the conform stage. I was using MC 8.2 while my editors were on 6.5 (so they didnt’ have frame flex themselves) and it took a lot of manpower to manually rebuild 3d warp resizes with frame flex.

  I thought I’d have an easier time frame flexin’ now that my editor and I are both on MC 8.9 for a new project, but it seems that frame flex is disabled on grouped clips in a timeline. Frame flex comes back when I commit multicam edits, but this still means I have to manually rebuild 3D warp resizes with frame flex at the conform stage.

  Is there another version of avid in which you can frame flex grouped clips? Any work arounds? Couldn’t find anything recent on the subject.
