I am cutting on an Avid Media Composer Interplay system. Our format it 720p/59.94.

In the General Settings, I change my TC Display format from 30 to 60fps. Is this an issue here with Interplay? I’ve been told that this can corrupt a sequence in Interplay. I’ve never had an issue or heard of anyone else having an issue with my stuff. It is my understanding that changing the TC Display Format is just that: changing my display.

I just find it annoying to cut a 60fps sequence and dealing with the math of 30fps instead.

Any insight into this would be appreciated!

Are you just changing display or changing the “edit rate” as well in format tab? The former should not cause any issues.

Just the display but I’m told it can corrupt a sequence. I cannot understand why that would happen.
