  Apply an effect to a 3 Frame clip

  Using Avid after a long spell away!
  I have lots of text in my TL that is 3 frames long. When I try and apply an effect, Avid only offers a transition. It seems 4 frames will accept the effect. Is that normal behaviour in Avid?

  Highlight the clip. Now double click on the effect you want to add. If you want the same effect on many clips, highlight all of them and then double click.
