Export settings for DNxHD 185 X?
Posted by Ada Ya on January 26, 2016 at 4:13 amHi,
I’m trying to export a sequence with transcoded DNxHD 185 X media.
The original files are AVCHD 1080p 50i.My goal is to get as high quality as possible.
Preferably quality that will go for TV-broadcasting.Thanks,
Adam

even when I add color correction? -

January 26, 2016 at 5:52 amWell, that’s always up for debate. I’ve never noticed a difference when I grade 8 bit source codecs in an 8-bit conversion codec, vs doing it as 10-bit. But that’s if you don’t push things much. If you do, I guess going 10-bit will help keep the banding issues lower. I guess it all depends on how much you are going to push the grade.

Manipulate. You have an image, and you want to make it bluer, or brighter..or both. You PUSH the colors towards blue…PUSH the Luma (brights) higher…or perhaps the Mids (Gamma).
