• Avid Media Composer

  1 out of 3 Artist Surfaces Not Connecting, can anyone please assist?

  Hi, i hope this is an appropriate place to post as i’ve seen avid staff look here.

  I have Transport, Mix, and Color surface running on a 2013 Mac Pro with Yosemite, latest Eucon driver. Both my Transport, and Mix work fine, however the Color turns on (Avid Logo) but is not recognized in Eucon (No show). I’ve tried swapping ethernet cables between surfaces, and connecting direct (no hub) , and everytime, the transport and mix connect fine. what could be going on?

  i’m really concerned because i’m in the middle of a big project right now and i need this for work.

  As per other Avid forums, latest Yosemite has issues with Avid Artist panels. Avid is aware and working with Appke to find the cause and solution. No fix other than downgrading

  Finally got around to installing the MC Color in studio.
  I can see the MC Color (Avid Artist Color) in the EUCON but cant seem to update the firmware.
  Its stuck at 1.1.8 firmware version.
  And in Avid Media Composer I get page 4 both Shift on/off working which is a few commands.
  Jog and basic transport works.
  Anyone else finding less options with Avid MC?
  Using new Mac Pro Yosemite and Avid MC 8.4.
  Going to test Resolve and other apps soon.
