I am runnign AE 6.0 and trying to import a JPEG file that I created in Photoshop. The image I made in Photoshop has one layer that contains the image over a checkerboard background (I would assume that is transparent). Im photoshop I have saved the file every way I could think of and when I imported the image into AE I lost my transparency. I was replaced with either a black or white background. What do I do?
I am currently working with .tiff images but they are taking way to long to render because they are HUGE files.

    Please Help!
    Derek

Import the psd (native photoshop file)into AE and the transparency will come along. AE likes psd’s. No transparency with jpeg.

Thank you for your input. When I replaced the .tiff image with the .psd image, it was brighter than the .tiff. What is the best way to import the .psd imsge into AE?
