  Assertion Failed with Segment Overwrite tool

  I’ve just upgraded to Media Composer 8.2.0 now when ever I try to use the Segment Overwrite tool to move a clip on the timeline I am getting an Assertion Failed message. I can click continue and keep working, but not being able to use this tool is really slowing me down.

  This is happening in various different projects with different media, AMA linked and regular MXF media.
  As well as brand new projects, not just projects that I am continuing to work on after the upgrade.

  Has anyone else had this problem?

  Avid Media Composer 8.2.0
  OS X – 10.9.5

  I just upgraded to 8.2 and have the same exact problem. No solution 🙁
