  Avid 1920×800 Import Question

  Hi Guys,

  I’m familiar with editing in Avid but some of the technical stuff I’m very green/rusty on. I’m trying to import an mp4 with the dimensions of 1920×800. I had imported it but the ratio was all off and in the initial project setup, I am limited to what format options I have. I’m currently trying to re-import the file ‘properly’ by linking AMA then transcoding w/ DNxHD 115. It has a couple hours to go but am I doing something wrong in order for the file to be showing the correct aspect ratio?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

  Does your version have FrameFlex? If so, go to source settings and set up menu to be stretch, crop, center, letterbox/pillarbox.
