  what is “red-only track”?

  I’m using MC 5.0.4 on Mac v10.6.8

  While doing an edit on the timeline each time I’m trying to extract, lift and all other edit keys, an Avid note appears reads- “Cannot edit a read-only track.”

  What I suppose to do?

  Have you accidentally locked the track?
  I’m not in front of the Avid at the moment, but there’s a picture of a padlock at the left of the track, activate the track and in one of the menus at the top left you can ‘lock track’ or ‘unlock track’.

  thanks. I didn’t lock the track, but they were locked. I wonder if by any mistake I pushed some short-key to a lock position.(?)
