  avid project window settings tab is default

  working in avid 5.5.2.

  everytime I open my project the project window opens with the Settings tab and I have to click on the bins tab.

  How can I have the default the bins tab?

  It usually defaults to bins. You might try trashing your MCState files. They live in 2 locations, and you should kill them all. The first location is.

  Macintosh HD\Users\Shared\AvidMediaComposer\Avid Users\(User Folders)

  and the second is

  Macintosh HD\Applications\Avid Media Composer\Settings

  (In the applications settings folder, in addition to the MCState file, you can clean the site setting and site attributes files. The Avid will automatically rebuild these next time you start the Avid)

  Thanks for your help, Richard. I see now that the is the suggested remedy. Alas, it still reverts to the settings tab. I clicked on the bin tab, quit Avid, opened it, and it was back to settings.
  I’m upgrading soon so I’ll just let it ride for now I guess.
