  Importing Spanned AVCHD clips into Avid

  Hi there I need some help importing spanned clips AVCHD 50fps into and avid project 1080i.

  When I import them I get this weird flickering in certain patterns I don’t get in the original clip.

  I have done this in two ways:

  • I AMA’d the spanned file and got all clips in it. I then transcoded them to DNX185 to the project (1080/50i)
  • Converted the clip using Clipwrap to DNX145 optimised for avid and I did two tests: Ama’d the single clip and transcoded it to DNX185 and also just imported the clip.

  In all occasion I get the flickering

  Any help?

  SONY’S CATALYST BROWSER. I just tried it recently. Worked well for my spanned AVCHD clip from SonyA7. cheers!
