    A little off the subject, but a video about islamic discussions using explosions and targeting sites scares the living hell out of me.

    That looks like a practical glass shatter (i.e. real). Artbeats has a really good library of these kinds of elements, but they’re a bit on the expensive side. Videocopilot.net also has a really good library of these kinds of elements, but they are a lot less expensive AND available in higher resolutions (2k).

    It’s a nice glass shatter. AE’s shatter might work if you can only render the extruded edges with a composite mode of screen. So maybe a black solid shatter with white edges (extrusion) and screen or key out the black.

    I’m almost sure that’s one of the glass clips from “Action Essentials 2” from videocopilot… an excellente value…

    It is, one of the glass elements of Action Essentails 2.. But if you want to recreate a window shatter, you can search it by that words. (window shatter, glass shatter etc.) There are lot’s of tutorials about it..
