  Avid symphony 6.0.1 to 6.5

  I did not upgrade to Symphony 6.5 yet, can I still upgrade to 6.5 instead of going to v7 and where would I find it?
  Cutting a series that is in year 5 and need to call up old timelines on a regular basis, so wondering if should spend the money and upgrade to v7 or better to upgrade to 6.5 for this year?

  Avid is only selling MC7 at this time. BUT…if you get MC7, the same dongle or activation code will work with 6.5.3…so you can download that and install that instead of MC 7. Must be 6.5.3.

  Thanks for the info. Do you think it is worth going that route or is it better to stay 6.0 for the compatibility of prvious seasons?

  If you don’t need any of the advances made in later versions, then upgrading makes no sense. Buy when you need.
