    Hey

The .mov files have the AVdn codec, but when I’m trying to import them to Avid I get this error message: “Invalid file name”. If I try to drag them directly into the bin, nothing happens.

    Any clues? Thanks.

I’d put money on it, that either the file itself as a slash in it, or it’s in a folder with a slash in it. Particularly a date. If you organized your footage into folders “09/04/2013” that is a big no no. Make them 09-04-2013. A slash anywhere in the filepath will cause this. You want to avoid these illegal characters in your filename and file path / ? < > \ : * | ”

Try AMA Linking to them, and see if that works.
