  Relinking woes

  I just copied the contents of and MXF folder from one external drive to another, and tried re-booting AVID to see if the media linked up to the new drive, after ejecting the old one. It didn’t. I tried loading the MDB file from that folder (“1”) into a bin in AVID, and no dice. Then I tried deleting the MDB file from the MXF bin, and rebooted AVID again, hoping it would create a fresh MDB file. Still “MEDIA OFFLINE.” I know it’s something dumb I’m doing. Could someone let me know?

  Is the folder structure correct at the root level of the hard drive?
  drive>Avid MediaFiles>MXF ?

  Found the (dumb) mistake.
  I put the folder in the Avid MediaFiles folder, not the MXF folder inside the Avid MediaFiles filer.

  Works like a charm now!
