Any reason why AE CS4 could not read a regular DVCProHD P2 MXF file? Premiere sees it just fine. Of the accepted file types for import in AE, P2 doesn’t even show up! I swear this worked before.

Are you following the instructions here? If so, at what point do things fail, and what exactly is the manner of the failure?

the program simply will not import mxf files – claims they are unsupported.

Reinstalled After Effects from the disc and the updates — now Premier can’t read VOB files. Now I’ll reinstall the whole Creative Suite and the upgrades – see if that helps. Better – I need those VOB files for a project I am working on now.
