  Can you export 4 channels of audio out of Media Composer 6.5.2

  Is there a way to export an H264 file with 4 channels of audio out of Avid Media Composer 6.5.2. I do not want to use an AAF or OMF to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

  In the export settings I opened the audio tab and selecting the “Direct Out” radio button but it did not seem to make a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

  You can only export multi-channel audio when you export SAME AS SOURCE, if I recall correctly. Then you need to compress to H.264 after that.

  I did not know you had to select same as source. Thank you I will give it a try.

  Thanks Michael and Shane. I was able to get the export with 4 channels of audio when I selected “Same as Source.”
