  First Post – Lower thirds alpha issue?

  Hello all. Thanks for taking the time to look at my issue here. If the workflow you see in the image below looks like a jumbled mess, well, it’s my first attempt at doing anything in Avid; learning as I go.

  I have a lower thirds banner on the timeline but I can’t get it to overlay on the main video mixdown track. When I toggle with the record track monitor buttons I either get the main video or the banner over a black background.

  I had it working properly yesterday on a similar project but don’t know what I’ve done to cause the problem.

  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  Your lower third is hidden as it’s below your video track, NLE’s like Avid have a top to bottom hierarchy so your alpha needs to be above your video track.
