  anybody using BM Intensity PRO card with AVID?

  I asked this in the BM forum… no response… which concerns me!

  Is anybody out there using a Black Magic Designs Intensity Pro card for monitoring their AVID on a large screen TV? I’ve had this set up on my Mac Pro Tower with FCP 7 for awhile and it worked like a charm. However, when we switched to Avid, no love. The Avid just shows a spinning beach ball when trying to work. The picture comes through the monitor, you can see it, but trying to work is a no go.

  Removed the BM software, avid works fine. Install BM software, AVID slow. ANybody else experience this?

  sorry, closest i can say is i’m using an extreme 3d card with Avid. No issues.

  No issues with Intensity Pro overhere. (MC6).Make sure that you installed the latest BM drivers

  Update: I found a setting that fixed it. The card was set to “create conversion” live, and
  apparently that was killing the avid. Switched it off, and works great!
