It is possible to conform WITHOUT Cinema Tools?
On an AVID or Premiere Station in mac?

We need more information. Are you conforming frame rates? Did you offline, and you’re now trying to conform to an online format? Conform can refer to a few different things.
Since you mentioned Cinema Tools, I’m assuming you have something shot at 29.97 that you want to conform to 23.976 which is a common thing done in Cinema Tools. There is a console command that will help. Go to the Console and type “ignoreqtrate true”. When you import your 29.97 footage in your 23.976 project, it will play out at 23.976 making it look slow.

I’m migrating from FCP to AVID or Premiere,
and I always use 7D cameras, in 60p
what I want is an option for the 60p to 23.98 workflow that we are used to do in Cinema tools
but in the new system that I will use, Cinema Tools is out.
So thats the situation.Cheers!

Good luck transitioning! It’s really not that bad. I transitioned from Final Cut to Avid last August. Avid’s great, you’ll love it.

The TIMEWARP tool will enable you to bring the 60p footage into a 23.98 or 29.97 project, and then slow it down smoothly, using every frame.
Plus…since you already own FCP and Cinema Tools (you said you were transitioning)…you can still use CT to conform. It didn’t stop working.

Hi. Coming from a similar situation.
Just tried this with the TIMEWARP tool. Is re-timing the clip from 200% to 100% or ‘slower’ right? Anything else to add or consider for quality’s sake?
