    this is probably very easy, but can’t find it in avid – looking for the equivalent of paste/remove attributes in FCP – anyone?

    You can select the tracks you want to modify, draw an in to out point on it, then open the audio mixer. In the audio mixer’s fast menu select “Adjust pan/Vols On Track – In/Out”. Working this way, you can only increase or decrease by 6 decibels at at time, but you can do it multiple times if necessary.
