  Moving Picture “consolidate”

  Does anyone know of a way to “consolidate”/gather all the pictures used by Moving Picture into one folder?

  Moving Picture requires you to be organized and do this from the beginning.

  I’ve struggled with this onlining projects done by other editors who put their photos everywhere, including local desktops.

  the best way to work, is to have a central folder for all photos, and also to use the same photo imported into Avid (using standard import) as your placeholder clip that the Moving Picture Effect piggybacks on.

  You can manually gather all your photos, and then reconnect each Moving Picture effect to the new location. That is kind of risky, though, if any are now missing. Sometimes reconnecting causes the move to get messed up, too…especially if the project is consolidated with insufficient handles.
