• Avid Media Composer

  seuence wont open – on deadline

  hey guys,

  Ive got this sequence that crashes MC 5 and 5.5 when it opens.

  gives the mainthread buss error.

  I went to the attic and got the back up and that one is F’ed also.

  mac pro

  8core

  4gb ram
  os 10.6.8

  Did you try making a new project and opening the sequence in that? Any other projects have this issue or other sequences in this project?

  Try a search of the Avid forums to see if you can find someone else with this error. I just did a quick search and found this thread:

  https://community.avid.com/forums/t/64626.aspx?PageIndex=1

  Try going to your project folder and trashing the .avs file, and repair permissions on your drive (can’t hurt).

  Also try round tripping an AAF file to see if that fixes anything.
