    Hey Moos…

I’m having a problem with a collapse effect and I know that I’m forgetting something. I have an image on V1 and on V2 I have three images dissolving between them. I collapsed V2 so I could shrink them and move them over V1 but V1 is in the shrinked video over itself.

I’ve read the work around to this problem before but I cannot remember what it is.

    Utterly thankful

    Steve

    Hi Steve

step in your PiP Effect or 3D Warp and make sure that your collapsed track is on V2.
Or try to leave a blank video track between v1 and your collapsed track, sometimes this helps 😉

I’m not in front of an Avid at the moment so bare with me if this doesnt work. After collapsing V2 apply the “submaster” effect then apply the 3D warp. You may have to alt-drag the 3D warp onto the submaster.

I did try moving the collapsed effect up a track, leaving an empty one between it and the background. Didn’t work. But are you saying when I collapse the effect I should have an empty track under it?

    Thanks
