Error while exporting sequence
Posted by Isadora Chamis on November 20, 2011 at 1:33 pmHi, I’m trying to export my sequences to Quicktime Movie files and I’m getting this error message:
“Exception:QTNewDataReferenceForumFullPathCFString”.
I was wondering if someone could help me sort this out. Thank you, Isadora

November 20, 2011 at 8:58 pmI think I remember seeing this error connected with certain versions of Avid used with certain versions of Quicktime and them not totally getting along but cant remember which caused issues.
Which version of Avid on which platform do you have and which version of Quicktime are you running ?
Make sure you have not updated one without the other.
You should be able to find out which versions support which with the installation notes of your particular Avid version.
Sorry its a bit vague but look in that area.
best wishes

November 20, 2011 at 9:09 pmHi Neil,
Thanks for the quick reply!
I’m editing with my Mac Book Pro, intel core i7, Media Composer 5.
When I installed it, the quicktime version was corresponding(7). It’s a good tip, but I’m not quite sure if could be that because before starting the proper edits I’ve made some exporting tests. They worked very well… After a while I tried to export again and this error begain…
Meanwhile, I am able to export as quicktime reference. So I’m doing that, then I import to final cut so I can export it again as QT movie. What a pain, hun?!Many thanks, I’ll keep investigating!
Best,
Isadora
