Is there a “TV Channel Change” effect or plug in for avid?
Long time FCP editor doing my first job on Avid and I need a transition to mimic changing channels and before you post, I already tried the “TV noise” effect, I need something different.

GenArts Sapphire has such an effect… not cheap, but it’s a toolkit any effects driven editor should have.

There’s a Damaged TV effect in BCC (that ships with Avid) that you can use as a transition.

Years ago, I created my own using a combination of Add Edits, Top to Bottom pushes and some other effects to mess up the footage. I used it on an episode of Mega Engineering.
