    Again, new to xdcamhd. Have read that effects look vastly better in dnx145 codec. That said, can I have dnx effects in an XDCAM timeline? Due to the volume of material it will be impractical to trasncode XDCAM footage to dnx codec, just an FYI….

    You can mix DNxHD and XDCAM HD in the same timeline.

    Just make sure in your Media Creation settings that the Render tab is set to a DNxHD codec. Then apply any effects as you normally would – anything that needs to be rendered will render to DNxHD…
