    Also no problems, had both running since Avid released v5.0. No issues.

    They will work ok together. However, their respective system requirements re: QT & version of the OS will change at different rates over time as new version/software updates are released. I would recommend adding a second internal hard drive and dual booting for the appropriate NLE.

    That’s good advice. Is AVID still touchy about system updates? Back in my AVID days I recall having system updates render AVID and ProTools useless on more than one occasion.

    Yeah, still can be. Not quite as severely as the version 2 days, but can still cause problems.

    Any additional hardware needed? I’ve got an AJA Kona LHi. From what I’ve read, that’s not going to work for Avid. Correct?

    Nah. Only 3rd party stuff at the moment is the Matrox MXO mini and AJA IO express.

    With a hint of things to come at the recent Avid event in Los Angeles. I think there will be more third party support soon, but it’s speculative and no timeframe.
