    Hi all,
I have been working on a documentary project for the past few weeks.
Everything worked perfect until a few days ago…
While editing, every action i make [saving, trimming, cutting, lifting, etc…] turns the mouse arrow into the blue rolling circle of windows for a few seconds. I don’t need to tell you all how annoying and frustrating it is. It brakes the rythem of editing.
I replaced the HDD cable, moved the project into internal HDD, deleted the *.mdb and *.pmr and allowed Avid to rebuild them…
despite all of the above, the same story happens over and over again.

Would love to hear if anyone has a clue or a solution…
    Thanks ahead,
    Noam

Avid MC 5 installed on Windows 7 64bit, 8 Giga RAM, Intel QuadCore 6600, PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 1500

Have you run EditPrep to turn off all the fancy features that tend to bog down Windows?

    Hey Job ter Burg,
    thanks for the quick reply.
Can’t say that I have tried EditPrep.
Where can I find it? Do I need to disable any particular features?
    Thanks,
    Noam

found Edprep and used it. Same problem continues…
    Any ideas?
