  PNG with Alpha Won’t Work Under ONE User Profile

  Hi all,

  Recent strange happenings from our Avid MC 5.0.3. It appears that an a PNG file which we use regularly has decided not to funciton properly when imported into ANY project opened under my colleague’s User profile. While the text in the bin indicates the file was imported (With Alpha), when opened in the source monitor or in the timeline the background is white, rather than transparent. The import seems to process normally. I simply right-click>>Import>>Select file from Desktop. Avid does it’s little processing jig and it pops into the selected bin normally. I’ve duplicated the exact same procedure under my User profile and have no problem. Our bug logo remains transparent and can be added as the top layer to any sequence.

  I looked through the settings menu for anything User specifc, but didn’t come across anything. Has anyone had this issue before or know how to deal with this?

  He’ll need to just create new user settings.
