I have some H.264 rushes from a canon 5D and I would like to use metafuze so that I can network the transcoding to mxf. Being able to network the transcode for this project is pretty seesential as it is a doc with approaching 50 hrs of footage to log.

However metafuze seems to really dislike the metadata (or lack there of) of the H.264 and ends up calling every clip “MVI”. Does anyone have any suggestions for a work around?

Version 5.0 of MC should be able to work directly with the 5d footage – no transcode needed.

Well, for long-form, transcoding would seem highly recommended IMHO. Working with native H264 over AMA is very taxing on the system.
