    You could try … in the audio mixer click top left and then choose eq then either fiddle with the eq (reducing 15Khz) or choose the fast menu and select one of the built in eq settings.

    Thanks, the EQ tool works like a charm. BUT for a reason not known to me, when I playing it back I can hear a very loud plop sound in every splice (between cuts). (?)

    I don’t know what that is. Was it there before the EQ? You could add a very short mix to each cut or checker board your audio.
