  Replacing RTR320x SCSI Controller Card – Advice Needed

  Hello,

  One of the SCSI Controller cards on our RAID (Avid VideoRAID RTR320x) is shot and needs replacing. We ordered the identical part online to swap out with the old one.

  My question is, what is the process to replacing the controller card without risk of deleting any data on the drives themselves? Is it just as simple as swapping the old one with the new one and turning it back on? or is it more involved then that? If so, anyone’s guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  It’s a regular boring ATTO ULxD card, where it’s either the UL4D or UL5D. Plug and play.
