    Hey Scott:

10:1 (SD, obviously) at 29.97 takes up approx:

Thanks Michael, Is that storage needs or throughput? In other words I am trying to make sure our storage system is capable of 10:1 comfortably.

The two go hand in hand.

Throughput x time = amount of storage needed.

One benchmark of a SAN is throughput, which is usually measured in MB/s (MegaBytes per sec).

10:1 is 2MB/s, which is very, very easy for any SAN solution.
