I have been converting my files from the Avid into h264 QT movies. They look great but the file size is around 300mbs. I usually upload via FTP and send the client the link to the downloadable file but it seems to take forever to upload. All that to say, is there a better way like using the Ichat “send file” options. Is that faster? Is anyone using the new Slingbox HD setup for clients?

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Upload speed is dependent on your internet service…not the application used. If you want fast uploads, you need to pay for the premium service…

I’m sorry. What I was asking is is the throughput faster by using Ichat, P2P as opposed to uploading it to a FTP? I was also thinking about streaming it through a slingbox but I was wondering what other people do to get it to the client quicker.

I looked into getting fiber optic installed through the Verizon (FIOS) but it’s not available in my area. I am also working out of my home, which is located in residential area.

    thanks,
