    Hello everyone,
I have seen literature stating that you ahould be able to output an AAF file from Media Composer 5, and import that into Premiere CS5. This would facilitate my ultimate goal of opening the project up in After Effects CS5. However every time I try this process, when I get into Premiere to import that AAF, it fails and tells me “generic error”. For the love of Pete, does anyone know why? I’ve been fiddling around with this for too long now.
I am well aware of automatic duck, but I am trying to get this working without that fine software.
Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

    Hi,
    This one was DV25 411.
For this most recent test, I was using SD. I’ve also tried it with DNX 220x material with the same result.
Also, this was on my Mac-based Avid.
Thanks for getting back to me!
