  Avid Newscutter 6.2.2 and Sony NXcam

  Is it possible to use a Sony NX5, shoot in SD mode, and then import that MPEG2 file into an Avid Newscutter version 6.2.2? This version of Newscutter I’m using is SD only. Do I need the Avid Media Access utility or is the Content Management Utility from Sony adequate? Thanks in advance.
