I’m not clear on the difference between Group Clips and Multigroup. I have 2-camera interviews that I’ve been using Multigroup on, but should I be doing Group Clip instead? Does it matter?

    Thanks!

2 camera interview. Edit in Source/Record mode. Find where each clip syncs up, put an in point on it. Highlight the two clips and go to Bin on the top menu and then click multi group. Drop Grouped Clip onto a new time line then go to Multi-Camera Mode under Special and you should be able to do the editing you are looking for in the source side.

Sorry if this doesn’t make sense.

Thanks for responding. That’s how I’ve been doing it, but I’d noticed that the Bin menu had both Multigroup and Group Clips as options and I wasn’t clear on the difference.

When I make the multigroup, it also creates two separate clips – a group clip and a multigroup clip. What is the purpose of the two separate clips?

    Thanks!
