  • Importing .mov into Avid

    I created a composition in AE and exported to QT. When I import it into avid the video looks great all except for a logo that appears in the movie. It is very pixelated as it moves into place. What settings do I need to adjust to remedy this problem. The logo was originally a Photo shop file.

    What did you transcode it to? WHat format? And what did you export it out of AE as? What format?

    Well I exported several different ways from AE..H264,Lossless. Imported it into avid 1:1. I am sort of new to all this will you please tell me what settings I need to adjust. I created a photo move with 2 still frames and imported a logo(PSD). It looked great in AE and in QT when I exported so I think my mistake is in the Avid import…What should my settings be.

    Export out of AE as ANIMATION…and the same frame rate as the project. Then import that as the same settings of the project…DNxHD 175, or 115…whatever the format is.
