  1080i and 1080p in same sequence?

  I’m working in a 1080i sequence with mostly 1080i footage. We want to go shoot additional footage with the 5D which, as I understand, only shoots progressive. Can this new footage be edited into my 1080i sequence without major problems. Or do I need to transcode it to something first?

  Is going to be no problem. Depends a bit on the framerate, you may want to import the clips in a format that matches the shooting format, then open the resulting bin in your 1080i project.
