Roll credit from graphic
So, I designed my credit in PS and export to .tiff files. Basically, it’s a very long credit. My plan was import this tiff file into avid and then key frame so it roll up.
However, I soon found out
– 1. When I imported it, it resized the whole long credit into one frame.
– 2. I don’t know how to do ‘key frame’ in Marquee.What should I do to make a roll credit from a long graphic?
(so, it’s 1920 x 1080, and my tiff files have a resolution as 1920 x 3600

You’ll need to use the Avid Pan & Zoom effect. You’ll need to apply the effect to a video clip (I’d use the single frame still that you imported) and inside the effect controls you can point it to your original file. That you will let you add keyframes and move it like you want to.

I tried to do that. The problem is I have to scale the image and the quality is terrible (since Avid automatically resized it smaller to fit a whole long credit into one frame

Avid resizes images to match the project settings when you import the file. Marcus is suggesting using the Pan and Zoom effect which references the original high res file. Read the help on the Pan and Zoom effect and take it for a test drive.

I found that titles made with a raster-image like from PS had always poor quality.
Better design a title with Illustrator (all logos as EPS-vectors) and animate with AfterFX. Render to ur flavour of DNxhD.
