  • How can i encode 10 GB to DVD?

    Hi,

What would be a good program to encode a 10.5 GB in H264 or DNxHD film to a 4.7GB DVD without loosing too much quality? I was trying to use toast, but it seems to be mostly used for DVD ripping and when i do attempt to use it, it freeze’s at the ‘ preparing’ stage.

    Thanks.

Do you have Sorenson Squeeze? How about DVDit? Both come with the full version of MC. Either one will give you good encoding results.

    Thanks.

I managed to get a good result out of toast 10, surprisingly it managed to fit a 60GB 1:1 MXF export I had onto a disc. It still looks kind of soft, the lines arent as defined as even broadcast TV, but I dont know what else I can do.

Do you have any control over the quality of the import in toast?
