SD material in timeline back HD
I have a finished sequence in SD, all material originally shot in HD…and want to now complete it as an HD show.
Little bit confused on the procedure since i did the last one a year ago.
Any advice out there on the workflow?Thanks,

What is your source material? Is it on tape? P2? Was it all file imports?
As a rough guide – first, duplicate your sequence, then decompose it. It will make new master clips based on what was used in your sequence.
Switch your project to HD under the format tab.
Batch import all graphics in the decompose bin, recreate titles of your master sequence at an HD resolution, then batch capture the footage of your decomposed sequence or batch import it, depending on the source material.
It should all be HD now.

Thanks for replying Michael. The material was shot on DVC Pro 50 — 720 at 24p with a Panasonic HDX 900.
Additionally there are several vintage photo stills imported at standard def 1:1, plus some fonts.
I will follow your advice and let you know how I have fared…

Michael..if you are still there. When I go to decompose is says that there are no clips to decompose, after creating the seq. duplicate.
From my notes from last year I have done this
Select Sequence
Under set Bin Display select Show Reference Clips
Select Modify> Set Format to the HD format of 720 59.94 which is the recapture I want
Decompose the new HD Seq that has been created. Best that I use a new bin with the HD Seq placed in there, and then Decompose it.
Finally, recapture the decompsed footage at HD res…Unfortunately, I am told that I must SPLIT ALL TRACKS TO MONO first, which I did, which give me another seq at the top of the bin’s listing.
I then hit Decompose and i get a Exception Error– “One or more Sequences cannot be decomposed because they do not have the same edit rate of the current project.”Soooo… what do i do?
